Whether you already have a program or are hoping to start one; this is the place for you! We’ve been there… having really cute horses and wanting to set up a world-class standard of excellence therapy program. We contacted many different organizations, but no one was willing to answer our questions; so we decided to pave the way for miniature therapy horse groups. One of our main goals in setting up our nonprofit organization was to develop and create a successful training program that is nationally recognized.
Miniature Therapy Horses 101
This series is designed for those who are trying to make an informed decision about putting together a therapy program. It covers portions of the other seminars, but only as an overview. We hope that this will allow you to have a real understanding of what is takes mentally, financially and physically to start up a program for therapy.
The cost of Miniature Therapy Horses 101 is $60 + $5 S&H.
Miniature Therapy Horses 102
This course is designed to help you put your entire program together. This is for the person who wants to learn more about the field of using miniature horses for therapy. The entire course is available online and also has lectures, reading material and how-to videos. The course will cover topics like training, safety, setting up a program, insurance, choosing a horse, equipment, and many other topics. You will find this course a great resource for while putting together your own program. This course does not offer a Handlers Certification or Horse Registration.
The Cost of Miniature therapy horses 102 is $350
Junior Handler Certification Course
For students who are willing to go through the same extensive handler course, but are not 18 years old - we offer a Junior Handlers Course. A junior handler can register with one horse, and will stay a junior handler until they become of age (18+). Juniors are not required to send in a background check or a TB test. Certification is lifetime, as long as the required documents are sent in each year.
The cost for the Junior handler certification course: $250.
Once the handler is 18+, there is a one-time upgrade fee of $100.
Master Handler Certification Course
This all-encompassing handler certification course is the most extensive course we have available. The Master Handler Certification Course is available entirely online and concludes with the ability to become a Certified Handler through Seven Oaks Farm Miniature Therapy Horses PLUS register one Miniature Therapy Horse through Seven Oaks Farm Miniature Therapy Horses.
Full cost for the handler certification course: $500.
Minimal requirements to renew certification each year.
Miniature Therapy Horse Registration
The registration course is also available online and the syllabus will provide all the information you need in the form of lectures, how-to videos and related reading material. The standards are tried and true within our own therapy program, and we give you the tools to replicate the training on your own horse.
