CVG welcomes you with love!
Over a year ago, we saw an article in the local paper that the Dayton International Airport was announcing their first therapy dog as a stress-reliever for passengers. "We could do that, just with tiny horses instead!" was our response. That started the ball rolling, we began talking with CVG and asked if they would be interested - they were ecstatic. Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport is located in Kentucky - horse county. We started a friendship with them that still continues today. We could not think of a better way to welcome arriving passengers or say hello. Our teams of little horses can be seen at the arrival gates, ticketing and various parts of the airport.
Families are full of smiles and kids take interest in something new. Flights can be stressful for first time flyers or those with frequent flyer miles. The hustle and bustle in the terminals, trying to find your gate, or make a quick connection can be stressful. We go to CVG to relieve some of that stress, and to allow passengers to smile and chat while petting a small horse. We visit two or three times a month during the holidays or to honor special events.
We celebrated the Kentucky Derby with passengers taking off and arriving for the weekend. Denver & Dakota got all dressed up and brought many smiles. Some arriving passengers joked they wanted to come back to our farm instead of watching the Derby. The sweet, gentle nature of these two made for conversation with passengers and a very pleasant experience for travelers in Cincinnati airport.
There is always so much laughter and we frequently hear stories from all kinds of travelers. Where they are arriving from, who they are visiting, and what they are doing here in Cincinnati. What is most important is seeing the smile that these little horses make on the people who interact with them. We are thrilled to be a part of CVG and to help spread love and joy to those visiting.
